On July 18, 2020 (Saturday), the Inagi City Fire Department held a sign language course for its staff.
The DVD materials used in this course were edited into easy-to-understand videos featuring commonly used words in emergency situations. This was due to the inability of the Inagi City Association of the Hearing Impaired to send instructors for sign language courses because of the spread of COVID-19. Firefighters, rescue team members, and emergency medical personnel learned sign language for words, as well as how to communicate effectively in disaster situations through facial expressions and body movements.

In the future, we will continue to strive to improve our communication skills and work together as a united team to create a town where people can live kindly and safely.
