What is the Patient Transport Business?

It refers to private services that provide safe and secure means of transportation using stretchers or wheelchairs when there is no urgency to call an ambulance, such as when visiting a hospital, during admission and discharge, or when being transported to social welfare facilities.

Certification of Patient Transport Business

The Inagi City Fire Department certifies business operators that meet certain standards among those engaged in patient transport services within the city. The certification criteria specify requirements for vehicles and equipment, qualifications of crew members, and other necessary matters for patient transport.

About Certified Patient Transport Business Operators

The following individuals are defined by the Road Transport Vehicle Act.

  1. Those who have received permission for general passenger vehicle transportation business.
  2. Those who have received permission for general charter passenger vehicle transportation business.
  3. Persons who have received permission for specific passenger automobile transportation business.
  4. Persons registered for private paid passenger transport.

Inagi City Fire Department Certified Patient Transport Business Operators

This is a list of patient transport business operators (private ambulances) certified by the Inagi City Fire Department. It can be widely used in cases where it is "not urgent" or "there is no means of transportation" to the extent that an ambulance is not required. (Please check with each business operator for details.)

For those who wish to be certified

The certification will be carried out according to the following process.

  1. Application for Basic Training for Patient Transport Personnel (Schedule adjustments will be made at the time of application)
    If you hold qualifications such as a doctor, nurse, Public Health Nurse, or emergency medical technician, or if you have completed training at other fire departments or the Japanese Red Cross, you may be exempt from the training. For more details, please contact us.
  2. Issuance of Qualification Certificate (Valid for 2 years)
  3. Application for Certification of Patient Transport Business
  4. Inspection of Crew and Vehicle Equipment
  5. Certification (Issuance of Certificate)

About Re-training

The qualification certificate issued to those who have completed the basic training is valid for 2 years. Please apply for re-training and attend the course before it expires.
