To prevent infection

In light of the spread of COVID-19, please be mindful of the following points to prevent infection for those who may provide first aid in case of an emergency.

• Let's wear masks.
• Wear gloves or vinyl gloves and avoid direct contact with the person who has fallen.
• In indoor situations, let's ventilate.
• To avoid crowding, let's provide first aid with the minimum necessary personnel.
• Be careful not to get too close when checking breathing.

If the person lying down is an adult

Perform chest compressions only, and do not perform artificial respiration.
To prevent infection, cover the person's mouth with a cloth or mask before performing chest compressions.

When the person who has collapsed is a child

Family members who have received training in artificial respiration and are willing to perform it will provide artificial respiration in addition to chest compressions.
If you have an artificial respiration mouthpiece (with a one-way valve), let's make use of it.
