Installation of Earthquake Automatic Unlocking Boxes
What is an Earthquake Automatic Unlocking Box?
The earthquake automatic unlocking box is a storage box that automatically unlocks when it detects shaking above a set intensity. It is designed to store keys to evacuation shelters and allows local disaster prevention organizations and community members to open evacuation shelters in the event of a major earthquake.
In Inagi City, there are 16 Public Facilities listed below, which are set to unlock when a tremor of intensity 6 or higher is detected. In the event of a major earthquake, the box can be opened, and by using the keys and the evacuation shelter setup manual stored inside, a shelter can be established.
