Unique Educational Activities in Inagi City

This area features a variety of schools, from small schools located in quiet rural areas to large, vibrant schools in newly developed residential neighborhoods, including 12 elementary schools and 6 junior high schools.

• As a UNESCO school, we promote ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) by nurturing the leaders of a sustainable society.
• We are working to enhance and achieve improvements in academic ability, moral education, and physical fitness.
• Starting from Fiscal Year 2022, all elementary and junior high schools in the city have begun the community school system with school management councils, promoting the creation of schools that are open to the community.
• We are working on ensuring the safety and security of children and their healthy development through community-wide efforts (such as community education councils and school support concierges).

Inagi City established the "Second Work Style Implementation Plan for Inagi City Public Schools" in March 2023, and is working on reforming the work styles of teachers.

(1) Number of positions and subjects for teacher recruitment in the ward and city, selection method

Currently, we are publicly recruiting for the subjects and number of positions listed in the file below, targeting those who are teachers in Tokyo public schools and have completed the required number of years.
Please note that this is a tentative schedule, and there may be changes to the recruitment slots depending on the situation of movement within the city in the future.
Additionally, for each recruitment slot and CS slot, hiring will be done from one of the slots.
According to Tokyo regulations, those who are newly hired and are undergoing their first transfer cannot apply for the CS slot.

(2) Recruitment of teachers for the elementary school subject teacher system, including the number of positions, subjects, and selection methods for temporary transfers between different school types.

In Inagi City, with the aim of realizing and promoting the subject teacher system for upper grades in elementary schools, we plan to assign a junior high school teacher (Health and Physical Education) as a subject teacher (1 Physical Education teacher) for the upper grades at one elementary school in the city.
Currently, we are publicly recruiting for the subjects and number of teachers listed in the file below, targeting those who are currently teachers in Tokyo public schools and have completed the required number of years.
Please note that this is a current plan, and there may be changes to the recruitment slots depending on the situation of transfers within the city in the future.
