Childcare fee and payment method

Updated: May 1, 2023

Nursery schools are operated by the national government, the city, the city, and parents' contributions. Therefore, if you enter a nursery school, you will have to pay the nursery fee.

Childcare fee

For childcare fees at licensed nursery schools, please refer to the Guide to Using Nursery Schools .

Delivery method

Please pay the childcare fee of the licensed nursery school to the city.
As a general rule, childcare fees for licensed nursery schools are paid by bank transfer.
(For those who have siblings enrolled, we will withdraw from the registered account.)
We will send you a bank transfer request form along with information about the use of the nursery school, so please fill in the necessary information, affix your seal, and complete the procedures at a financial institution designated by Inagi City (listed on the back of the bank transfer request form). The account holder can be anyone in your family.
In addition, please pay the childcare fees until the account transfer procedure is completed with the childcare fee decision notification and payment notification.
Note: The transfer date (payment deadline) is the last day of every month (or the next business day if it falls on a holiday). Please be sure to make payment by the day before the transfer date.

Easy application with a cash card "Pay-easy bank transfer reception service"

In addition to applying with a bank transfer request form, you can also use the "Pay-easy bank transfer reception service," which allows you to apply up to about three weeks before the payment deadline and to easily complete the procedure with a cash card in your name. Please see here for information on how to apply, who can apply, what to bring, financial institutions that accept payments, and types of deposits. However, childcare fees can only be accepted at the Child Care Support Division window and the Hirao/Wakabadai Branch Office window.

About cashless payment service

You can pay the childcare fee by starting the smartphone payment app and reading the barcode for convenience store storage printed on the payment slip.
The usage limit is up to 300,000 yen per transaction (up to 100,000 yen for FamiPay).
Note: Receipts will not be issued for childcare fees paid using the smartphone payment app. If you need a receipt, please pay at a convenience store or financial institution.
Note: You cannot pay with the smartphone payment app if the payment deadline has passed.

Payment services currently available

LINE Pay, PayPay, au PAY, d payment, J-Coin Pay, FamiPay, Rakuten Pay

Storage of receipts

Be sure to keep the receipt after paying the childcare fee for five years.
Note: We may ask you to present your receipt for payment confirmation.

In case of non-payment of childcare fees

If you do not pay the prescribed childcare fee, follow the steps below to request payment.

  1. We will send a demand note and a notice.
  2. Contact parents/guardians (home, mobile phone, and workplace) for payment.
  3. We will visit your home, nursery school, or workplace to collect any unpaid childcare fees.
  4. We will seize property according to the example of disposition for local tax delinquency.

Note: If payment of childcare fees (after April 2017) is delayed, late fees may be incurred.
Note: In addition to collection of delinquent childcare fees, we also provide consultation on payment plans such as installments.

Reduction/exemption of childcare fees

Childcare fees will be reduced in cases where the income falls significantly due to hospitalization, unemployment, etc. of the main operator, and when the criteria set by the city are met. Please attach the necessary documents to the user burden reduction application form and apply to the Child Care Support Division.
In addition, childcare fees may be exempted if the childcare center is closed due to physical reasons for the child.

Childcare fee for extended childcare

If you wish to extend childcare, please pay the childcare fee for the following extended childcare to the nursery school.

public

Extended childcare (registered children) notes

3,200 yen per person per month

public

Temporary extended childcare (spot)

500 yen per person (up to every 30 minutes)

private

Please contact the implementing garden.

Note: Please pay the monthly fee for extended childcare (registered children) even if you start using the service from the middle of the month.
Note: If you are certified for short-time childcare and use it outside of the hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the spot fee will be applied as an extended childcare fee. (The monthly extension fee is not applicable.)

Extended childcare fee exemption

There is a system of exemption from extended childcare fees for households in the 1st and 2nd tiers of user fees. However, please note that temporary use is not eligible for exemption.
