What is a Community Life Support Center?

Community living support centers, etc. are systems that support the lives of people with disabilities and their families throughout the community, considering the severe conditions and aging of individuals with disabilities, as well as the future without parents. The functions provided by community living support centers, etc. are as follows.

Five Functions of Community Life Support Centers

Consultations & Inquiries
Identify households that are unlikely to receive support in emergencies in advance, ensure a constant communication system, and provide necessary consultation and support in case of emergencies.
Emergency Reception and Response
Establish a constant emergency reception system utilizing short-term accommodation, and take necessary actions such as facility acceptance for short-term accommodation and contacting medical institutions in case of emergencies like the caregiver's sudden illness.
Provision of opportunities and venues for experiences
Provide opportunities and venues for utilizing Disability Welfare services such as group homes and for experiences of living alone, in relation to community transition from hospitals and facilities or independence from parents.
Securing and Training Specialized Personnel
Establish a system that can provide specialized support for those who require medical care or have behavioral disorders, and develop human resources.
Community System Development
  • By utilizing the Core Consultation Support Center, commissioned consultation support projects, specific consultation support, general consultation support, etc., coordinators are placed to ensure a service provision system that can respond to various local needs and to build a collaborative system of local social resources.
  • To provide necessary services while considering the prevention and early detection of abuse, and the protection of human rights, in order to maintain the lives of persons with disabilities.

Community Life Support Centers in Inagi City

There are two types of development methods indicated by the government: multi-functional base development type (consolidating necessary functions in specific facilities) and area development type (multiple organizations share responsibilities for functions). In Inagi City, we adopt the area development approach, strengthening the network that connects all existing social resources and establishing a system where each organization plays its role.

About the Support Recipients

Emergency support requires prior registration through planned business operators (Registration of Support Recipients). For inquiries regarding registration, please contact the Core Consultation Support Center (Inagi City) or each planned consultation business operator.
Note: In principle, those who fall under the "definition of support recipients" are eligible for registration.
