Housing Security Benefit
The housing security benefit is intended for those who have lost or are likely to lose their home due to financial difficulties due to job separation, self-employment closure, or unavoidable business suspension. This is a system in which the city pays the landlord an amount equivalent to the rent (with an upper limit) for a period of three months in principle (with an extension system).
If you meet the following main requirements, there is a high possibility that you will meet the eligibility requirements, so please consult with the "Welfare and Living Consultation Desk".

- Opportunities to earn income have decreased within 2 years after leaving or closing the business, or due to unavoidable reasons
- Household income in the application month is less than a certain amount (Upper limit example) 1 person household 137,700 yen, 2 person household 194,000 yen
- The total amount of bank deposits and cash is less than a certain amount (Example upper limit) 504,000 yen for a single household, 780,000 yen for a two-person household (subject to change upon extension)
- Maintained the primary livelihood of the household prior to any of the above
- Example of maximum rent payment amount: 53,700 yen for single households, 64,000 yen for two-person households, etc.
- Payment period: 3 months in principle (extension system available)
