Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in Japan. There are almost no symptoms in the early stages, so get a lung cancer checkup for early detection and early treatment.
Flow of consultation
Target audience
- Citizens over 40 years old (those born before April 1, 1985)
Note : The following people cannot take the test. When deciding whether to undergo a medical examination, please follow the instructions of the medical institution conducting the examination.

The following people should contact the City Hospital Health Checkup Center when making a reservation. You may be able to receive medical treatment under certain conditions.
- People with severe hearing loss in both ears
- Those with precision medical devices such as implanted pacemakers or defibrillators
Note: If you have symptoms, we recommend that you see a doctor rather than undergo a screening test.
Note: If you have a chronic illness and have a regular doctor, please consult with them in advance about undergoing cancer screening.
Note: At the end of the year and fiscal year, appointments are booked up and you may not be able to be seen.

Application deadline
- The deadline is the 22nd of each month, and consultation tickets will be sent out at the beginning of the following month.

How to apply
- Please apply for a consultation ticket at the Inagi City Health Center using one of the following methods (1), (2), or (3).
Applications will start from Monday, April 1, 2020.

Opening days: Weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and December 29th to January 3rd)

- Self-pay: 4,250 yen
Note : 1,410 yen for those paying 10% of their health insurance card, 2,830 yen for 20% (you must present your insurance card, etc. at the reception of the City Hospital Health Checkup Center)
Persons eligible for exemption from contribution
If you fall under any of (1), (2), or (3) as of the date of your consultation, you will be exempted from paying any copayments. Please note that advance procedures are required.
(1) Households receiving public assistance | Please obtain a "Certificate of Protection" or "Certificate of Support Benefits" from your city hall's Life and Welfare Division in advance and submit it at the reception desk on the day of the examination . |
(2) Japanese nationals remaining in China | |
(3) Households exempt from municipal tax | After applying for a consultation ticket, once you have received it, please bring it with you to the health center to receive a ``Confirmation Form for Exemption of Medical Examination Fee''. Please submit the copayment exemption confirmation form to the reception on the day of the examination. |
Notes: Common matters
- One certificate is required for each type of cancer screening you receive.
- All certificates are valid for up to six months after issue .
