We will conduct stomach cancer screenings for citizens aged 40 and over, aimed at early detection and early treatment of stomach cancer.

  • Note: In case of a large number of applications, a lottery will be held.

Eligible Individuals

Citizens aged 40 and over (born before April 1, 1985)

Notice: The following individuals cannot undergo testing. Please follow the instructions of the implementing medical institution regarding the decision to receive a health checkup.

  1. Individuals who have had their esophagus or stomach removed
  2. Individuals undergoing treatment or observation for stomach and intestinal diseases
  3. Those who are breastfeeding, pregnant, or believed to be pregnant
  4. Those with a history of aspiration or hypersensitivity (such as hives, difficulty breathing, cold extremities, etc.) to barium preparations.
  5. Those who have had colorectal polyps removed within the past two months
  6. Those who have undergone abdominal surgery or orthopedic surgery within the past year
  7. Those who have experienced intestinal obstruction within the past year or those who have recurrent intestinal obstruction
  8. Individuals with fluid restrictions due to kidney disease (dialysis) and other conditions
  9. Those who have experienced diseases such as myocardial infarction or stroke within the past year
  10. Individuals with constipation (such as those who have not had a bowel movement for more than 3 days on the day of the examination)
  11. Those with a systolic blood pressure of 180 mmHg or higher, or a diastolic blood pressure of 110 mmHg or higher on the day of the examination
  12. Those who cannot hold and drink the barium cup by themselves
  13. Individuals who have difficulty maintaining standing position on their own or grasping the handrail of the shooting platform by themselves.
  14. Those who find it difficult to move smoothly according to the engineer's instructions (including those who have difficulty conversing in Japanese)
  • Note: If you have any symptoms, please visit an outpatient clinic instead of undergoing a health checkup.
  • Note: If you have a chronic illness and have a primary care physician, please consult them in advance about undergoing stomach cancer screening.

    (You will drink barium (contrast agent) and a foaming agent, and an X-ray of the stomach will be taken.)

Please apply for the examination ticket to the Inagi City Health Center using one of the following methods (1), (2), or (3) during the application period listed in the table above.

Cost

Self-payment: 2,250 yen

Note: Those with a Health Insurance Card indicating a 10% co-payment will pay 750 yen, and those with a 20% co-payment will pay 1,500 yen
(Presentation of the Health Insurance Card or similar is required at the reception)

Exemptions from Burden Fees

As of the date of examination, those who fall under any of the following (1) (2) (3) will be exempt from the co-payment. Please note that prior procedures are required.

(1) Households receiving Public Assistance
Please obtain a "Public Assistance Certificate" or "Support Benefit Certificate" in advance from the City Hall Livelihood Welfare Division and submit it at the time of health check-in.
(2) Former Japanese Residents in China
Please obtain a "Public Assistance Certificate" or "Support Benefit Certificate" in advance from the City Hall Livelihood Welfare Division and submit it at the time of health check-in.
(3) Households Exempt from Municipal Resident Tax
After applying for the examination voucher, please bring the voucher with you to the Health Center to receive the "Exemption Confirmation for Examination Fees". The exemption confirmation must be submitted at the reception on the day of the examination.
Note: For those who have recently moved and have not had a taxation decision made in Inagi City, please obtain a "Non-Taxation Certificate" from your previous municipality and bring it to the Health Center. For more details, please contact the Health Center.

Note: Common Matters

  • For each type of certificate, one is required for each type of cancer screening.
  • The validity period of various certificates is within 6 months after issuance.
