About the Revised Health Promotion Act and the Tokyo Metropolitan Passive Smoking Prevention Ordinance
About the Revised Health Promotion Act
The government aims to prevent unwanted passive smoking, particularly considering the significant health impacts on children and patients. Smoking is prohibited in certain areas of facilities, depending on the type of facility that many people use, except for designated places, and regulations are established regarding the measures that administrators should take.
About the Tokyo Metropolitan Passive Smoking Prevention Ordinance
Tokyo Metropolitan Government has established new rules unique to the city, in addition to the revised Health Promotion Act, to protect employees who are in a position where it is difficult to prevent passive smoking and children who are susceptible to health impacts.
