The revised Health Promotion Act and the Tokyo Metropolitan Passive Smoking Prevention Ordinance have been fully implemented, and all facilities will be "principally non-smoking."
Smoking is not allowed in places other than designated areas. Individuals under 20 years of age are not permitted to enter smoking areas.

About the Revised Health Promotion Act

Smoking is prohibited in certain areas of facilities, depending on the type of facility that many people use, except for designated places, and regulations are established regarding the measures that administrators should take.

About the Tokyo Metropolitan Passive Smoking Prevention Ordinance

Tokyo Metropolitan Government has established new rules unique to the city, in addition to the revised Health Promotion Act, to protect employees who are in a position where it is difficult to prevent passive smoking and children who are susceptible to health impacts.
