This green space was named "Green Space of Eight Seasons" to reflect the desire to restore the deciduous forests of the Tama Hills that were lost due to the development of Tama New Town. It is based on the Quercus acutissima and Quercus serrata as the foundational trees, and the planting is limited to the wild plants that were native to this area. The seasons are divided into eight: early spring, spring, young leaves, early summer, summer, autumn, autumn foliage, and winter, in accordance with the growth and flowering periods of the trees. The concept is to create a green space that is vibrant with seasonal changes, where there is always some flower or fruit throughout the year, and where small birds come to visit.
