The haunting situation of monkeys in the city

Monkeys appeared in the city on January 7, 2021.
When you see monkeys nearby, please be careful of the following.

if you see a monkey

  • stay away from monkeys
  • don't make eye contact
  • Do not feed, do not show food
  • Do not shout (do not provoke or excite the monkey)
  • If you witness it from your home, lock the door and be careful not to enter the house.

Monkeys do not stay in the same place.
Please also be careful around the location where the sighting was reported.
Sighting location: Koyodai, Nagamine

When there is a risk of physical harm or property being threatened

If you are in danger of being physically injured or your property is being threatened, such as having your laundry taken away, please call 110.
