With the spread of home printers, five printer manufacturers are conducting the "Ink Cartridge Return Project" (external link) to recycle used ink cartridges, of which approximately 200 million are said to be discarded each year. Masu.
The city supports this project and has installed collection boxes specifically for ink cartridges at 10 public facilities within the city.
In order to make effective use of limited resources, please place used ink cartridges in the collection box.
You can bring it directly to the following facilities during their opening hours (including holidays ).
Remove the ink cartridge from the box/bag and place it in the collection box.
Note: Genuine products from four companies (Brother, Canon, Epson, and Hewlett-Packard Japan) are subject to the recall.
Please note that Lexmark products have been excluded from this warranty since April 2016, and Dell products have been excluded from this warranty since April 2019 .
Note: Items discarded from business establishments are not subject to collection.

From collection to recycling
Collection boxes full of cartridges are sent to a sorting center through the post office. After being sorted one by one by manufacturer at the sorting base, each manufacturer reuses and recycles them into recycled cartridges, cartridge parts, and other plastic products.
We also make donations to organizations working on environmental conservation activities.
