On March 15, 2020, a life-sized monument of "Scope Dog" was installed at Inagi Pair Park.
Scope Dog is a humanoid mobile weapon that appears in the anime "Armored Trooper VOTOMS," designed by Mr. Kunio Okawara, a mechanical designer residing in Inagi City.

In addition, you can see monuments designed by Kunio Okawara in various locations within Inagi City.

Armored Trooper Votoms

A work that is regarded as the pinnacle of real robot anime pioneered by 'Mobile Suit Gundam'

"Armored Trooper Votoms" aired on television from 1983 to 1984. In addition to the strong military-themed mechanical combat depictions, the characters engage in intense human drama.
After the television series ended, original video animations, movies, and novels have been released one after another.

The main weapon that appears in Armored Trooper VOTOMS.
The protagonist, Chirico Cuvie, used it the most.

The three distinctive lenses on the head are standard zoom, precision aiming, and wide-angle, allowing visual information to be transmitted to the pilot through the goggles.

The unveiling ceremony was held

On March 15, 2020, a unveiling ceremony was held at Inagi Pair Park.
The unveiling event was attended by Yoshiyuki Takahashi, the director of "Armored Trooper VOTOMS," and Kunio Okawara, the mechanical designer, who energized the gathered fans.
