The government's "call for special caution" following the announcement of the Nankai Trough Earthquake Emergency Information (Massive Earthquake Warning) has ended.

At just after 4:30 p.m. on August 8th, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred with its epicenter 31 km deep in the Hyuga-Nada Sea. Regarding the Nankai Trough Earthquake Emergency Information (Massive Earthquake Warning) that had been issued since August 8th, the government's "call for special caution" following the issuance of the Nankai Trough Earthquake Emergency Information (Massive Earthquake Warning) was terminated at 5:00 p.m. on August 15th, as no significant changes have been observed so far in seismic activity or crustal movement in the expected epicenter of the Nankai Trough earthquake since August 8th.
We ask all citizens to continue to take daily earthquake preparations in their homes so that they will be able to respond whenever a Nankai Trough earthquake occurs.
Inagi City will abolish the Crisis Management Headquarters that was established on August 8th, but will continue to collect information.
