Installation of earthquake automatic unlocking box

Updated: July 1, 2024

What is an earthquake automatic unlocking box?

An earthquake automatic unlocking box is a storage box that automatically opens when a tremor exceeding a set seismic intensity is detected. This will allow local residents to open shelters.

The boxes are installed in 16 public facilities in Inagi City, and are set to unlock when they detect shaking of a seismic intensity of 6 or more. In the event of a major earthquake, you can open the box and set up a shelter using the key and shelter setup manual stored inside.
