Be careful of shady part-time jobs!

Updated: November 12, 2024

On social media and internet bulletin boards, there are posts recruiting people to commit crimes, suggesting the payment of extremely high compensation without disclosing the details of the work. Many people have applied for these jobs, thinking they could earn a high salary easily, and ended up participating in crimes such as robbery and fraud, leading to their arrest.
Illegal part-time jobs are not part-time jobs, they are crimes. You should never get involved in them.

What is an illegal part-time job?

  • They post recruitment information on social media and internet message boards, promising high income in a short amount of time.
  • If you apply, you will be used as a minion of a criminal organization, such as a receiver or sender in a fraudulent transaction, or the perpetrator of a robbery, and you will become a criminal.

How to avoid illegal part-time jobs

  • When looking for a part-time job, be careful of job postings that use words such as "high pay," "cash on the same day," "high pay immediately," "easy high income," "no risk," "hand carry," "just receive documents," "behavioral confirmation/on-site investigation," etc., as they are likely to be recruitments for criminals. There is no such thing as an easy part-time job that will earn you a lot of money.
  • If you are asked to install a highly anonymous app when applying, or if you are asked to submit personal information such as your driver's license or a photo of your face, it may be a shady part-time job.
  • If you suspect something is wrong, contact a friend, family member or the police.

If you do an illegal part-time job even once...

  • Once you apply for a "illegal part-time job," even if you want to quit, you cannot do so until you are arrested , as criminal organizations will threaten to come to your home or harm your family, using the identification and personal information you provided when applying.
  • After being arrested, you will face imprisonment and compensation for damages to the victim. Of course, criminal groups will not help you. Illegal part-time jobs are disposable.
