When should I take prenatal checkups?

Update date: December 8, 2023

Generally, the basic health checkups for pregnant women are once every four weeks until the 23rd week of pregnancy (the end of the 6th month), and every 2 weeks from the 24th week to the 35th week of pregnancy (from the 7th month to the end of the 9th month). As a guideline, you should see your doctor once every month, and once a week from the 36th week of pregnancy (from the 10th month onwards until delivery).
Inagi City provides 14 medical checkup tickets for pregnant women, 4 tickets for pregnant women's ultrasound examinations, and 1 ticket for pregnant women's cervical cancer screening, all of which are available at public expense, along with the maternal and child health handbook. It is enclosed inside the bag.
Please bring it to your medical institution when you receive your prenatal checkup.
