Boat Race Edogawa
Inagi City, along with Tama City and Akiruno City, forms a part of the Tokyo Three City Revenue Business Association and conducts boat racing activities at Boat Race Edogawa.
This is a public competition defined by the Motorboat Racing Act, similar to horse racing, bicycle racing, and auto racing, and the profits from this business are utilized as valuable financial resources for promoting community development, such as urban infrastructure improvement projects.
Boat Race Edogawa is the only racecourse among the 24 racecourses nationwide that uses a river (utilizing the first-class river Nakagawa Drainage Canal).
When you visit the racecourse, you will be greeted by two large demon statues at the entrance gate. As you proceed into the venue, you can enjoy a retro Showa atmosphere with works by Shigeru Mizuki, nostalgic movie posters, and paintings on display.
Additionally, with the establishment of the external sales office "BOAT RACE 365," thorough separation of smoking areas, improvements to air conditioning facilities, and the installation of café spaces, it has become a space that can be enjoyed by a wide range of age groups.
How about enjoying the thrilling boat races from the embankment stand overlooking the Skytree on the opposite bank?
We invite you to visit us at least once.
