The national census will be conducted with October 1, 2025, as the reference date. The city is recruiting census takers.

What is the National Census?

The national census is a large-scale statistical survey conducted once every five years, surveying all people and households living in Japan.

What is a Census Enumerator?

This is a part-time national public servant appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, who will carry out the duties of the national census to be conducted on October 1, 2025.
The appointment period is from September 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025.

Job Description

(1) Attendance at the investigator's office meeting
(2) Distribution of "Internet Response Usage Guide" to households in the assigned survey area
(3) Distribution of survey forms to households that have not responded via the internet
(4) Distribution of "Confirmation of Survey Form Submission" (confirmation letter)
(5) Collection of survey forms or request for mailing
(6) Preparation and submission of survey documents

Compensation

Approximately 80,000 yen per survey area (varies depending on the survey area and number of households.)
Note: 1 survey area consists of 50 to 80 households

Eligibility

(1) Individuals who are 20 years old or older and are not directly related to police, elections, or taxation.
(2) Individuals who can engage in survey activities without hindrance during the survey period and are motivated.
