Purpose of revision
Inagi City formulated a basic green plan in 1999 with the basic philosophy of "Aiming to develop a town surrounded by water and green hometown landscapes", and is committed to the conservation and utilization of green spaces and the establishment of parks and other facilities. We have developed various measures for maintenance, water and green city development. More than 10 years have passed since the development of the current plan, and since the plan period has expired, we will revise the green basic plan for the next 10 years.
Over the past 10 years, the development of Tama New Town, the land readjustment project, the JR Nambu Line continuous grade separation project, etc. have progressed, and the appearance of the town has changed significantly. Socially, the conservation of biodiversity is emphasized, and each citizen is required to act in conjunction with measures to prevent global warming, and there is a strong interest in environmental issues. Furthermore, a place that is still fresh in our memory is that, based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, parks that can be used as evacuation sites for citizens in order to improve familiar disaster prevention functions.・Green space is required.
In the green basic plan to be revised this time, while taking into account the characteristics of Inagi City, which is blessed with a natural environment, we will create historical greenery and Inagi-like greenery, ecosystems such as Misawa River and Daimaru Canal, moist water, and daily life of citizens. We aim to make Inagi City a place for leisure activities and parks and green spaces that support safe living, while making the most of the existing greenery and further improving the quality of the greenery, where greenery always lives alongside our lives. .
