Update date: March 13, 2023
Purpose of the amendment
In Inagi City, in the basic green plan formulated in 1999, the basic philosophy is ``Aiming to create a town surrounded by water and green hometown landscapes'', and the city is promoting the conservation and utilization of green spaces, the development of parks, etc. We have implemented various measures regarding maintenance, water and green town development. More than 10 years have passed since the current plan was formulated, and the plan period has expired, so we will revise the Basic Green Plan for the next 10 years.
Over the past 10 years, progress has been made in the development of Tama New Town, the land readjustment project, the JR Nambu Line continuous grade crossing project, and the appearance of the town has changed significantly. In society, there is a strong interest in environmental issues, with emphasis placed on preserving biodiversity and individual citizens being asked to take measures to prevent global warming. Furthermore, based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, in order to improve the disaster prevention functions of everyday people, parks that can be used as evacuation sites for citizens are being developed.・Green space is needed.
The green basic plan to be revised this time takes into account the characteristics of Inagi City, which is blessed with a natural environment, and includes historic greenery, greenery typical of Inagi, ecosystems such as the Misawa River and Daimaru canal, and moist water, and the daily use of citizens. We aim to create an Inagi City where greenery is always a part of daily life, by making use of the existing greenery and further improving the quality of greenery in terms of places for leisure activities and parks and green spaces that support a safe lifestyle. .
