The "Inagi City Children's Reading Activity Promotion Plan" is a guideline for promoting children's reading activities in Inagi City.
The first promotion plan was formulated in December 2008, and the second in March 2015, with the catchphrase "Books are friends, Inagi's children," and various initiatives have been carried out.

The "Third Inagi City Children's Reading Activity Promotion Plan" for the five years starting from fiscal year 2020 was established by setting up a planning committee consisting of schools, kindergartens, nursery schools, local libraries, and citizen recruitment committee members, and conducting a request for public comments, which was formulated in March 2020.
Focusing on the four pillars that have been addressed since the first phase (improvement of reading environment, placement of librarians and human resource development, collaboration with related organizations, and PR for children's reading activities and promotion), we will further strengthen our efforts to enhance interest in reading and promote children's reading activities.

  • Planning period from fiscal year 2020 to 2024
  • Target: From 0 years old to approximately 18 years old

Every year, we publish the progress of the plan.
