Basic Green Plan - Plan Document (Revised Version March 2023)
Purpose of the Amendment
In Inagi City, the Basic Green Plan formulated in 2012 set the vision of "A City of Life Where People Interact with Water and Greenery" as its goal. Various measures have been developed regarding the conservation and utilization of green spaces, the development of parks, and community development with water and greenery. More than ten years have passed since the plan was established, and with the expiration of the planning period, a revision of the Basic Green Plan for the next ten years will be conducted.
During these ten years, the Land Readjustment Projects in the Kamihirao and Odarashi districts, as well as the JR Nambu Line elevated crossing project, have progressed, significantly changing the landscape of the town. Socially, the conservation of biodiversity is emphasized, and there is a demand for comprehensive and planned promotion of measures related to environmental conservation and creation, as well as renewable energy, with the realization of carbon neutrality being a key goal in addressing climate change issues. Furthermore, based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, there is a need for parks and green spaces that can also be used as evacuation sites for citizens to enhance local disaster prevention functions.
