Definition

A place where citizens with diverse opinions and values voluntarily participate and engage in free discussions, operating the meeting under the authority of citizens and the responsibility of those who participate.

Background

In the past, the formulation of the Long-Term Comprehensive Plan provided opportunities for citizens to express their opinions through discussion at advisory councils, essays, and letters to the mayor. However, in order to respond to the diversifying needs of citizens, it is necessary to expand these opportunities and reflect citizens' opinions in the Long-Term Comprehensive Plan more than ever before.

Purpose

The Long-Term Comprehensive Plan serves the role of indicating a vision for a new era. By reflecting many citizens' opinions in the Long-Term Comprehensive Plan and implementing policies in line with that plan, it aims to guide Inagi City towards realizing the kind of city it should aspire to in the future.

Role

By discussing the current status and challenges of City Administration and the Comprehensive Plan, freely debating from the perspective of citizens, and compiling the content related to the Long-Term Comprehensive Plan into a proposal document to be submitted to the Mayor of Inagi City, we aim to derive the vision for the future of Inagi City and the direction for formulating the Long-Term Comprehensive Plan.

Management

The rules for how meetings are conducted and decisions are made will be determined by the citizens in the citizens' meeting.

Organization

The citizens' council is organized with approximately 30 to 40 members. Other matters regarding the organizational structure will be decided by the citizens' council.
