After a heavy rain such as a typhoon, the promenade under the Inagi Ohashi Bridge is filled with water for two to three days, making it difficult to walk. We have been complaining to the city since last year, but it has not been improved yet. Also, when I checked with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, I was told that the land in question would be under the jurisdiction of the city because it was leased to the city. Please respond as soon as possible. The land you pointed out is part of the embankment of the river that the city has rented from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and although the city cannot voluntarily make changes to the embankment, such as paving work, it is considering improvements. On the right (southern) bank of the Tama River, I would like you to build a promenade connecting Inagi City to Tama City. The right bank of the Tama River originally had no embankment in some places, so it would be necessary to partially reclaim the river, and creating a promenade would require a huge amount of money and land. Additionally, this area has been designated as a national natural environment conservation area and is a habitat for wild birds, so it cannot be reclaimed, which is extremely difficult from this point of view.
How about incorporating 3D pedestrian crossings to ensure pedestrian safety? (A 3D pedestrian crossing means that the lines of the pedestrian crossing appear to float when viewed from the driver's perspective, and have the effect of encouraging deceleration.)

Regulations such as road designation signs are under the jurisdiction of the police, and the city cannot handle them.
Regarding traffic safety measures, every year the city requests the police to install traffic lights and pedestrian crossings in order of priority, but this has not come to fruition. The city is taking measures to encourage drivers to slow down by installing frustration sticks (post cones). We will continue to do what we can as a city to ensure the safety of pedestrians.

Many of the events at Keirokai are enka (Japanese ballad) and other music, but there are many elderly people with hearing disabilities, so I would like to see events that can be enjoyed visually. The Keirokai allows citizens to choose the content of the entertainment, and due to budget constraints, we may not always be able to go as requested, but we would like to use this as a reference in the future.

The Keirokai is a two-part system, and the holding time and pick-up and drop-off are different for each district. Keirokai has a large number of participants, so it is difficult to respond to individual requests, but please consult with the department in charge in advance. Pick-up and drop-off is done by area, so if possible, we would like you to participate in the decided frame.
There are many incidents such as cars being damaged in the neighborhood. The culprit has been identified, and the Tama Central Police Station is patrolling, but what can be done to prevent similar incidents in the future? It is difficult to deal with as a government. You have no choice but to take measures such as managing your own car and keeping an eye on it so that you don't get involved in crime. There is a method of installing security cameras to deter crime, but security cameras are effective in identifying criminals after the fact, but they do not necessarily prevent the occurrence of crimes. Also, some people dislike the installation of security cameras from the viewpoint of privacy.
The city believes that it has already installed security cameras in crime-prone areas in the city, and does not plan to install more at this time. In the future, we would like to consider a system in which the city will subsidize part of the installation costs if there is a request from the residents' association to install security cameras.
There was a review of the Tamagawa hazard map, but are you responding to the software side? The hazard map is scheduled to be remade and distributed because the expected inundation area has changed. As a countermeasure against flooding in the Oshitate district due to the rising water level of the Tama River, we have deployed rubber boats for evacuation at the station of the seven fire brigade. In addition, life jackets for fire brigade members who are involved in work such as evacuation guidance are provided at all fire brigade branch stations.
I want you to put lot numbers on utility poles. The city has just started an initiative to organize address numbers, which are difficult to understand, such as enclave numbers. Currently, a citizens' meeting has been set up and discussions are underway to establish a basic policy regarding address arrangement for the entire city.
Currently, Inagi City does not use a method of displaying residences, and uses the number of the land with leasehold interest as the address lot number. In the future, we plan to take time to organize the addresses while gaining the understanding of the local community.
I would like you to introduce local festivals on the Inagi City website. Regarding the public relations activities of the city, "Koho Inagi" is full-color, distributed to all households, and the contents of the paper are also working on reforms, such as increasing the number of feature articles and columns.
As for the homepage, the contents of each page are updated by each department, and the contents are not necessarily enjoyable. Since there is a limit to the amount of information that our public relations staff can handle, we would like to consider ways to devise ways such as providing links to the homepages of cultural and art groups, for example.
