Do you know about generic drugs?
Updated: June 15, 2018
What is a generic drug?
Generic drugs are drugs that are sold after the patent for a new drug (original drug) has expired and that have the same active ingredients and the same efficacy and effect as the original drug.
Because it is cheaper and more economical than brand-name drugs, it reduces patients' out-of-pocket costs and improves insurance finances.
