Long-term care insurance premium exemption system for those aged 65 and over (first insured person)

1. About deferment and exemption from collection of long-term care insurance premiums due to special circumstances

If you have difficulty paying insurance premiums due to special circumstances such as disasters, there is a system that allows you to defer collection or receive a reduction or exemption under certain conditions. For details on how to apply, please contact the following contact information.

Eligibility

(1) When a person aged 65 or over or the main livelihood supporter of the household to which the person belongs suffers significant damage to their home or household effects due to an earthquake, storm or flood damage, fire, etc. (2) Person aged 65 or over If the income of the main livelihood supporter of the household to which the person belongs has decreased significantly due to death, serious physical or mental disability, or long-term hospitalization. (4) When the income of the main livelihood maintainer of the household to which the person aged 65 or older belongs has decreased significantly due to suspension or abolition of business or work, significant loss in business, unemployment, etc. (5) In other cases where the mayor deems it necessary.

2. About long-term care insurance premium exemption system for people with financial difficulties

This system reduces long-term care insurance premiums for people aged 65 and over who have difficulty making a living and meet the following conditions. For details on how to apply, please contact the following contact information.

Eligibility

Those who meet all of the following requirements and are recognized by the mayor as "difficult to make a living" (1) Households exempt from resident tax (2) People who do not receive public assistance (3) People who do not receive support benefits for Japanese remaining in China (4) The annual income of the household is less than the standard income (1.5 million yen for single-person households, plus 500,000 yen for each member of the household) (5) The amount of savings in the household The standard deposit amount (3.5 million yen for single-person households plus 1 million yen for each member of the household) or less (6) Currently have no assets other than the house in which they live (7 ) Not be a dependent relative of a taxable person of residence tax or a dependent of medical insurance (including remote dependents) (8) Not be in arrears with long-term care insurance premiums

3. About exemption from long-term care insurance premiums for evacuees from the Great East Japan Earthquake

Insurance premiums may be reduced or exempted for those who have registered as residents of Inagi City after evacuating after being affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. For details on how to apply, please contact the following contact information.
