Citizen Ordinance to Clean the Town

Purpose of enactment
The purpose of this ordinance is for each citizen to observe manners and rules in their social life, and for citizens, businesses, landowners, and the city to work together to promote environmental beautification in the city.

Responsibilities of the city
The city will implement the necessary measures to promote clean and beautiful town development.
civic duty
- When throwing away empty cans, cigarette butts, general garbage, etc., follow the emission standards set by the city.
- When walking or exercising your dog, bring your own equipment and take the poop home with you.
- When smoking where there is no ashtray, carry and use a cigarette holder.
- We will try not to spit or spit in public places.
- In public places, when we find simple advertisements that may hinder the healthy development of youth, the aesthetics of the town, traffic safety, etc., we will endeavor to contact the relevant organizations (city hall, police station, etc.).
Responsibilities of business operators
- We will strive to prevent littering and beautify activities in our offices and surrounding areas.
- Persons who manufacture, process, or sell items that may cause littering shall raise awareness of purchasers regarding the prevention of littering and take other necessary measures.
- Those who sell food and drink in containers will install collection containers and strive to recycle empty cans.
Responsibilities of landowners, etc.
We will take necessary measures to prevent littering, dog/cat feces, and simple advertising on land that we own, occupy, and manage.
About penalties
This ordinance is not intended to be a crackdown, but if there is particularly malicious behavior, guidance, recommendations, orders, public announcements, and penalties (penal fines, beautification activities designated by the mayor) will be applied.
The leading role in promoting environmental beautification is “you”. The efforts of each and every one of you will create a clean environment free of litter such as cigarette butts and empty cans.
