Sewerage System

The sewerage disposal methods include "separate system" and "combined system", and Inagi City adopts the separate system.
The separate system is a method of disposing of rainwater and wastewater separately, with rainwater being discharged into roadside ditches (and some rainwater pipes).
Additionally, wastewater is treated biochemically at the Minami-Tama Water Reclamation Center (sewage treatment plant) and discharged into the Tama River as clean water.

What is drainage equipment?

Drainage facilities are constructed and maintained at the user's expense within the property, and they are facilities that carry all wastewater from kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, and toilets to the public sewer system.
