Beware of illegal waste collection companies!

Updated: December 4, 2020

Illegal waste collection company

Recently, flyers stating things like, "We will collect your unwanted items for free," and "Notice regarding free collection of home appliances, metals, and industrial products" have been circulating around the city.
National Consumer Affairs Centers in various regions have received complaints about people who have asked such junk removal companies to dispose of their items, such as, "I thought it would be free, but after they loaded my items into my car, I was charged a high fee," "I was charged more than double the amount I was initially quoted," and "The items the company collected were illegally dumped."
Furthermore, if these items are handed over to these junk collectors, they will not be recycled properly, and there is a risk that they could lead to environmental pollution and illegal dumping both domestically and overseas.
Please dispose of unwanted items from your home properly, in accordance with the city's household waste disposal rules.
