Please use the recyclable waste collective collection subsidy system.

Update date: April 1, 2021

Local groups such as neighborhood associations and children's groups independently collect recyclable materials such as waste paper and hand them over to recycling companies on days other than the city's recycling days. Collective collection groups registered with the city receive subsidies according to the amount of material collected. Proceeds from these activities are returned to the community, so please take advantage of them.

Subsidy eligible items/subsidy amount

Depending on the amount of recyclables collected, 9 yen/kilogram (newspapers, magazines, cardboard, milk cartons, old cloth, steel cans, bottles, other valuables), 6 yen/kilogram liter (aluminum cans, edible waste oil)

How to start a group collection

1. Create a collection group

Please create a non-profit organization, such as a neighborhood association, management association, or children's association, where 20 or more households can participate in activities at least once a year, and choose a representative.

2. Select collection items

Please select the items to be collected from among the items eligible for the subsidy.

3. Choose a recycling company

We will introduce resource recovery companies registered with the city, so please contact the Garbage and Recycling Section of the Living Environment Division.

Four. Decide how to use resources

After consulting within your organization and with the collection agency, decide when, where, and how to dispose of the resources. For group collection and city resource collection, please ensure that the collection dates do not overlap, and separate collection locations as much as possible.

5. Submit an application for group registration to the city

You can download it from the link below. Submit it to the Garbage and Recycling Section of the Life Environment Division.
