It will start on April 1, 2020! A new recycling business for PET bottles

Updated: October 25, 2024

The “bottle to bottle” recycling business for PET bottles with the Suntory Group will start on April 1, 2022.
By recycling PET bottles from households into new PET bottles, the recycling rate will reach approximately 100%, realizing the "local production for local consumption" of PET bottles and the "visualization" of recycling.

Request from the city

Collecting clean plastic bottles is essential to recycling plastic bottles. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in how to properly dispose of PET bottles.

How to put out plastic bottles

1 Empty and rinse.

2 Remove the cap and label and dispose of them as "plastic waste."

3 Crush and put out.

It weighs less, is easier to transport, and is less likely to be blown away by the wind.
