Inagi City and Foster City City, California, United States of America, announced on July 27, 2021 (July 26, 2021) the ``Friendship and Cooperation Agreement between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan, and Foster City City, California, United States''. A ceremony was held to conclude the sister city partnership agreement, in which Mayor Takahashi of Inagi City, Mayor Gehani of Foster City, Chairman Ando of the Inagi Sister and Friendship City Exchange Association (hereinafter referred to as the ``Exchange Association''), and Chairman Okamoto of the Foster City Sister City Association signed an agreement. I signed the document.
The signing ceremony was held online, connecting venues in both cities, in view of the situation with the new coronavirus infection.
Going forward, based on this partnership, we will work to achieve mutual sustainable development goals and deepen mutual understanding and cooperation through exchanges in a wide range of fields such as youth exchanges, cultural development, and tourism.

Sister city partnership agreement for friendship and cooperation between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City City, California, United States
Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, USA, have entered into a sister city partnership to promote friendship, cooperation, and goodwill between the two cities based on mutual trust and respect.
Both cities enjoy the blessings of a wonderful natural environment and share fundamental values of freedom and democracy.
They also share the belief that this sister city relationship is beneficial to the citizens of both cities.
We hope that through exchanges in a wide range of fields such as youth exchanges, cultural development, and tourism, we will be able to achieve mutual sustainable development goals and deepen mutual understanding and cooperation.
Through this partnership, both cities will be able to understand each other's lives and traditions more deeply and develop in many areas, thereby engaging in mutually fruitful activities.
The sister city agreement will be signed on July 26th and 27th, 2021.
