On July 27, 2021 (Foster City City, July 26), Inagi City and Foster City City, California, United States of America announced the "Friendship and Cooperation between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, United States of America." Inagi City Mayor Takahashi, Foster City Mayor Gehani, Inagi City Sister and Friendship Cities Exchange Association (hereafter referred to as the "Exchange Association") Chairman Ando, and Foster City Sister City Association Chairman Okamoto held a signing ceremony. signed the document.
The signing ceremony was held online, connecting the venues of both cities in view of the situation of the new coronavirus infection.

Sister City Agreement for Friendship and Cooperation between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, USA
Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, USA conclude a sister city affiliation to promote friendship, cooperation and goodwill between the two cities based on mutual trust and respect.
Both cities enjoy the blessings of a wonderful natural environment and share the fundamental values of freedom and democracy.
They also share the belief that this sister city relationship will benefit the citizens of both cities.
Through exchanges in a wide range of fields, such as youth exchanges, cultural development, and tourism, we hope to achieve mutual sustainable development goals and deepen mutual understanding and cooperation.
Through this partnership, both cities will be able to better understand each other's lives and traditions, develop in many areas, and engage in mutually fruitful activities.
This sister city agreement will be signed on July 26th and 27th, 2021.
