Mobile Suit Gundam is an anime series that is extremely popular all over the world. This is a popular series with new releases still being produced. The first "Mobile Suit Gundam" began broadcasting in 1979. With its strong story that doesn't focus on good and evil, the drama created by attractive characters, and the design of mobile suits based on the story's worldview, it made a difference in robot anime, which was targeted at elementary school students at the time. It was an ambitious work, being the third original work by Sunrise, a recently established animation production company.
Vol.10 features Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who was in charge of character design and animation director for Mobile Suit Gundam, and Kenichi Matsuzaki, who created the worldview and wrote the script for the war in space. Kunio Okawara, who designed the "mobile suit" that became the foundation for the robot category, will be invited to talk about how this timeless masterpiece was born, including some behind-the-scenes stories from the time of its creation.
