Precautions in the event of a power outage due to a disaster
When power is restored after a power outage due to a disaster such as a typhoon or earthquake, fire may occur from electrical equipment or electrical wiring, so please be aware of the following points.
- During a power outage, turn off electrical equipment and unplug the power plug from the outlet.
- When you leave your home, etc. during a power outage, turn off the breaker.
- When re-energizing, thoroughly check for safety, such as whether the electrical equipment is damaged due to water leakage, etc., whether the wiring and cords are damaged, and whether there are any flammable items nearby before using the electrical equipment. please.
- Even if there is no external damage to the building or electrical equipment, damage to the wiring inside the walls or a failure inside the electrical equipment may lead to a fire after a long time has passed since re-energization. If you find any, turn off the breaker immediately and contact the fire department.
