Chair and Vice Chair

The chairperson represents the assembly and has a very important role, as he is given many powers such as maintaining order in the assembly hall, organizing proceedings, and handling the affairs of the assembly. The vice chairperson performs duties in place of the chairperson when the chairperson is away on a business trip or otherwise absent.
　

Kenichi Kitahama was elected as the 35th chairman on May 15, 2023 and assumed office on the same day.
Chairman Kitahama is currently in his sixth term, and the parliamentary group is Inashikai ( Toushikai ) is.　

Rep. Takefumi Sakata was elected as the 36th Vice-Chairman on May 15, 2023 and assumed office on the same day.
Vice Chairman Sakata is currently in his fourth term and belongs to the Shinseikai.
