I want to know about the Basic Resident Register card.

It is an IC card that has started to be issued due to the operation of the basic resident register network system. It can be used as a storage medium for receiving a copy of a resident's card from a wide area or as a storage medium for electronic certificates.
There are two types of cards, one with a face photo and one without a face photo.
In addition, issuance of the Basic Resident Register card ended on December 28, 2015 with the start of the Individual Number System.
