If I pay a large amount of medical expenses to a medical institution, will I be reimbursed for the medical expenses? Also, do I need any procedures?

Updated: August 30, 2013

If your monthly copayment amount exceeds the maximum copayment amount, the excess amount will be paid (refunded) at a later date. In addition, if there are multiple beneficiaries of medical care for the elderly in the same household, the co-payment amount will be added up, and if the amount exceeds the outpatient and hospitalization (per household), high-cost medical expenses will be paid.
Please note that the cost of meals during hospitalization (the standard burden amount is determined separately) and the difference in bed charges, etc., are not covered.
