Part 1 Planning Course "Seeing the Wind Blowing Through the Galaxy: The World Seen by the X-ray Astronomy Satellite XRISM"

We will welcome Mr. Makoto Tashiro, the head of XRISM research and a professor at Saitama University, to give a lecture.

XRISM is Japan's seventh X-ray astronomical satellite, developed by JAXA in collaboration with NASA and ESA, and launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in September 2023. It was developed as an orbital observatory following the short-lived ASTRO-H (Hitomi), with global expectations since 2018. What new world of X-ray astronomy will XRISM reveal through its ultra-high-resolution spectroscopy?
We will also introduce the current state of observations and the challenges faced in international collaborative development leading up to the launch during the pandemic.

Part 2: Introduction Event for October Professor Courses

The 35th "Professor Course" will start in October, where everyone can practice the idea that "learning is fun" in the community. In this event, we will have the instructors come and promote the course in person. (Instructors who are absent will have pre-recorded videos played.)
This is also a great opportunity to take up new fields, so please come to the venue.
