My Town Inagi 2018 Misato Ogihara
Updated: January 5, 2018
The place of activity is the world Inline skating freestyle
Mr. Ogiwara, a 6th grade student at Inagi Daiichi Elementary School, participated in the world competition "Shanghai Slalom Open" (August 2017). Participants from all over the world competed in this tournament to determine the number one player in the world for each quota.
Ms. Ogiwara was the only elementary school student to participate in the classic slalom junior women's event.
Inline skating is a very popular roller sport in Europe, America and China. Aggressive competitions such as jumping, speed competitions, dance and hockey are held. Ogiwara's challenge is "Freestyle Classic". Line up mini pylons and slide between them to the music. There are various types of techniques, and they are divided into sit (crouching) and jumping techniques, and the more difficult techniques are given higher scores.
“I want to skate like Mao Asada!” Ogiwara, who was 6 years old at the time, discovered inline skating. After improving my skills, I became active as a dance performer, while also learning various techniques by watching videos on the Internet, and I have been active in freestyle and classical competitions in Japan. Currently, I am practicing the highest difficulty technique called "Two Christie". In addition, I spare no effort in learning ballet to improve the sense of balance necessary for inline skating, and learning English for overseas expeditions.
In 2018, there will be a world competition that is higher level than the Shanghai Slalom Open. First of all, I'm really looking forward to getting the right to participate, and then Ogiwara-san, who shines on the world stage.
Mr. Ogiwara's activities are available on the "Inline Skating Nichosen" website (external link).
