The production green area is an urban planning system that systematically and permanently conserves agricultural land in urbanized areas and contributes to the formation of a good living environment. Inagi City has designated 437 districts and 94.89 hectares of productive green areas. (Inagi City Notification No. 1, January 1, 2020)
Once designated as a productive green area, proper management and conservation of agricultural land is required, and activities such as building buildings and developing residential land are restricted, but preferential tax treatment (fixed asset tax, inheritance tax, etc.) ) can be received.
Please see the City Planning Certification page for the issuance of "Certificate of being a productive green area" and "Certificate of agricultural land eligible for special tax deferment".
The designated productive green area system is a system that allows the designation period to be extended every 10 years for productive green areas that have been designated for 30 years. For productive green areas that have been designated for 30 years, the inheritance tax deferment system cannot be applied to the next inheritance unless they are designated as specified productive green areas. In addition, after 5 years, fixed asset tax and city planning tax may become the same level as residential land.
Inagi City accepts applications for productive green space designation every January. Applications for the 2024 designation (scheduled to be announced on January 1, 2025) have now closed.
The next designation for fiscal year 2025 (scheduled to be announced on January 1, 2026) will be accepted during January 2024.
