Home solar power generation equipment (10kW or more) will also be required to report accidents to the government.

In recent years, there have been many incidents of fires and electric shocks caused by solar panel equipment. In order to investigate the causes and prevent recurrence, from April 1, 2021, the following small-output power generation facilities, as stipulated in Article 38 of the Electricity Business Act, are to be installed:
Solar power generation equipment (10kW or more but less than 50kW)
Wind power generation equipment (less than 20kW)
If an accident occurs, it will be mandatory to report it to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
There are also legal penalties for non-compliance with reporting requirements.
Note: Residential solar power generation systems of less than 10kW are not eligible.

(1) Accidents resulting in death or injury due to electric shock, etc. (2) Electrical fire accidents (3) Accidents causing damage to other properties (4) Accidents resulting in damage to equipment
