Notification of specific construction work

Among construction work, work that generates significant noise and vibration is defined as specific construction work under the Noise Regulation Act and the Vibration Regulation Act, and contractors are required to submit an implementation notification form at least seven days before starting the work.

In carrying out specific construction work

When carrying out specific construction work, contractors and clients must submit notifications and comply with regulatory standards, and must also take sufficient care to ensure that noise, vibrations, dust, etc. generated by the construction work do not affect people's health or the living environment.
In addition, you must inform local residents about the content and process of the work, and respond sincerely to any complaints that may arise.

Types of specific construction work

Specific construction work under the Noise Control Act
1Work using a pile driving machine (excluding Monken), a pile punching machine , or a pile punching machine (excluding a press-fit type pile punching machine) (excluding work that uses a pile punching machine in combination with an earth auger)
2Work using a screwdriver
3Work using a rock drill (in the case of work where the work location moves continuously, this is limited to work where the maximum distance between two work locations in one day does not exceed 50 meters)
4Work that uses an air compressor (limited to those that use a prime mover other than an electric motor and whose rated output is 15 kilowatts or more) (excluding work that uses it as the power for a rock drill)
5Work carried out by setting up a concrete plant (limited to those with a mixing machine with a mixing capacity of 0.45 cubic meters or more) or an asphalt plant (limited to those with a mixing machine with a mixing weight of 200 kilograms or more) (Excluding work performed by setting up a plant.)
6Work using a backhoe (excluding those designated by the Minister of the Environment as not generating noise exceeding a certain limit, and limited to those with a rated output of 80 kilowatts or more).
7Work using tractor excavators (limited to those with a prime mover rated output of 70 kilowatts or more, excluding those designated by the Minister of the Environment as ones that do not generate noise exceeding a certain limit)
8Work using bulldozers (limited to those with a prime mover rated output of 40 kilowatts or more, excluding those designated by the Minister of the Environment as ones that do not generate noise exceeding a certain limit)

Specific construction work under the Vibration Regulation Act
1 Work that uses a pile-driving machine (excluding pile-driving machines and press-fit type pile-cutting machines), pile-cutting machines (excluding hydraulic-type pile-cutting machines), or pile-cutting machines (excluding press-fit-type pile-cutting machines)
2 Work to destroy buildings and other structures using steel balls
3 Work using a pavement crusher (for work where the work location moves continuously, this is limited to work where the maximum distance between the two work locations in one day does not exceed 50 meters).
4 Work using a breaker (excluding hand-held ones) (in the case of work where the work location moves continuously, this is limited to work where the maximum distance between two work locations in one day does not exceed 50 meters)
