Our school opened in April 1975. The Tama River is right next to our school, and the Yato River flows between our school grounds and the school building. In addition, the Daimaru irrigation canal flows through the school area, and the area is rich in nature with pear orchards, rice paddies, and fields dotted around the area.
In addition, at our school, we spend a year learning about the nature and culture of the Tama River, having local people teach us about farming such as pears and rice, and getting familiar with the Daimaru canal, all of which foster a sense of hometown. I'm growing it.
