Let's celebrate, weave, and spread together
Inagi City will celebrate its 50th anniversary as a city on November 1, 2021.
We look back on the progress we have made over the past 50 years, celebrate with everyone, look forward to the next 50 years, and carry out various projects to connect to the future.
Basic policy for commemorative projects
Based on the ideas of the Inagi Citizen Charter, we will conduct business from the following three perspectives.
- [Celebrate] Many citizens from children to adults participate, and the citizens and the city come together to celebrate and excite the 50th anniversary.
- [Spinning] Learning and looking back on the history and charm of Inagi City, which has been built up over 50 years, fosters and inherits an attachment to Inagi City.
- [ Disseminate] By transmitting the charm of the city, Inagi City will be activated and will be an opportunity to promote.
Citizen proposal business
In order to carry out projects suitable for "celebrating" together, we invited citizens to propose commemorative projects from October to December 2019, and received 40 proposals.

As a result of screening from a comprehensive point of view based on the contents of the application, it was decided to budget and implement the following projects. Thank you very much to everyone who applied.
Creation of Inagi City Song
When we solicited lyrics and songs for the Inagi City song, we received 45 lyrics and 169 songs from all over the country. As a result of examination by the Inagi City Song Development Committee, which consists of experts, and the mayor, the lyrics were decided to be written by Osamu Asakura (resident in Sapporo) and the song by Yuki Takahashi (resident in Yanoguchi, Inagi City).
Making commemorative tin badges
In various events, we distributed commemorative badges for the 50th anniversary.
Commemorative stamp rally
We carried out stamp & quiz rally of the 50th anniversary of the Inagi municipal organization enforcement.
photo contest
A photo contest was held to celebrate the city's 50th anniversary as a municipality, to further enhance and pass on the attachment and pride of the citizens to the city, and to create a big excitement and improve the city's appeal.
Commemorative magazine creation
We made commemorative magazine in commemoration of the municipal organization enforcement 50th anniversary.
This commemorative magazine introduces the history and charm of Inagi, which has been built up over 50 years, through photographs and interviews with citizens who are responsible for various community activities in the city.
Commemorative video creation
At this milestone, the 50th anniversary of the city's establishment, I felt a new attachment to my town, Inagi, and was proud of it, hoping that this baton would be passed on to the next generation.
Establishment and operation of Amateur Radio Memorial Station
For four months from October 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022, the "Inagi Amateur Radio Club" operated the amateur radio station "8N1ING" commemorating the 50th anniversary of the enforcement of Inagi City. Through operation in the city, Mt. Fuji, and Mt. Mihara in Izu Oshima, information was disseminated to amateur radio stations in Japan and overseas, and Inagi City was promoted.

Ceremony
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the municipal organization enforcement on November 1, 2021, a commemorative ceremony was held at the Central Cultural Center Hall on November 6, 2021.

Creating a commemorative logo mark
When we solicited commemorative logo marks from all over the country, we received 135 entries. As a result of examination by experts, the mayor, etc., it was decided to be the work of Dr. Urabe (resident of Nakano Ward). In order to have many people use the logo mark and increase the momentum to celebrate the 50th anniversary, the logo mark can be used free of charge for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Commemorative stamp production
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the enforcement of Inagi City, we will sell a stamp set using the scenery of Inagi City and characters related to the city.

50th Anniversary Commemorative Film "Kinjiro Ninomiya" Screening
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Inagi City, a screening of the movie "Kinjiro Ninomiya" was held at the Central Cultural Center Hall on November 7, 2021.

In addition to other projects carried out by the city hall, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city's establishment together with the events of citizens' groups that are co-sponsored or supported by the city.
