How to apply for donation
(1) Application from the Internet
Please apply from the Inagi City introduction page on the following hometown tax donation private portal site.

Note: The city does not accept applications via the internet other than the above website. Please be careful of malicious fake sites pretending to be local organizations and pretending to accept donations through the hometown tax donation system. Please check here (internal link) for details .
(2) Application in writing
Please fill in the necessary items on the “I no Machi Inagi Support Donation Form” and submit it to the General Affairs and Contract Division.

Donation delivery method
(1) Credit card payment
When you apply online, you can choose to pay by credit card. For details, please check the hometown tax donation portal site above.
(2) Payment by payment slip
Applications can be made from the General Affairs and Contract Division on the 5th floor of City Hall or from the hometown tax donation portal site ``Furusato Choice.''
City Hall will send you a payment slip, so please pay at the financial institution listed on the payment slip.

(3) Over-the-counter payment
It is also possible to bring directly to the general affairs and contract section on the 5th floor of the city hall.
(4) Convenience store payment

(5) Multi-payment service settlement
If you apply from the Internet, you can select the multi-payment service settlement. For details, please check the home page of "Furusato Choice".
Regarding tax credits for donations
Donations exceeding 2,000 yen can be tax deductible. (with upper limit)
(1) Those who file a tax return or a resident tax return
- Please keep the receipt you received upon payment as proof of your donation.
- Please file a final tax return (income tax return) at the tax office that has jurisdiction over your address or a resident tax return at your municipality by March 15 of the year following your hometown tax payment. Please attach the receipt.
- When you file a tax return, you will be deducted (refunded) from your income tax for the year in which the hometown tax payment was made. In addition, inhabitant tax for the year following the furusato nozei tax will be deducted (reduced).
- When you file a resident tax return, the resident tax for the year following the hometown tax payment will be deducted (reduced).
(2) Those who apply for hometown tax one-stop exception
If you wish to apply, please submit a special declaration application form together with the donation application form. Also, please attach a copy of a document that can prove your identity and a copy of your My Number related document.
Those who meet all of the following conditions are eligible.
- Those who are not obliged to submit a tax return
- Those other than those who plan to submit final tax returns due to other deductions, etc.
- Those who donated to 5 or less local governments during the period from January 1st to December 31st.

Notes
- Donations made between January 1st and December 31st of each year are eligible, and if donations are made to multiple prefectures or municipalities, the total amount will be calculated.
- Exceptional deduction is limited to 20% of resident tax income percent.
- The income tax deduction rate varies depending on your annual income. (5% to 45%)
- Medical expense deductions and mortgage deductions for the first year are not tax deductible unless you file a final tax return.
- If you file a tax return, the deduction under the one-stop exception system will be invalidated.
- After submitting the application form for the one-stop exception system, if there is a change in name, address, etc. (excluding phone number) by January 1st of the year following the year in which the donation was made, please notify the municipality that submitted the application form in January. It is necessary to submit a "notification of change of application items" to the municipality that submitted the application by the 10th.
