Recently, malicious and fake websites have been found all over the country that pretend to accept donations under the Furusato Nozei system under the name of a local organization.

• Advertise a special price, such as displaying a significant discount from the regular price
• There is no mention of the municipality's address, contact information, email address, etc.
• The image of the reward used on the hometown tax payment site is reprinted and disguised as a genuine site
• If the payment method is bank transfer, the account holder is an individual name or a company name
