Q&A overview

Contents of question Answer
When is the entrance for the outbound direction of Inagi Interchange scheduled to be completed? Construction is currently underway. The smart interchange is scheduled to be completed around 2015.
The number of students at Inagi Daishi Elementary School seems to be increasing, but is there a reason? Inagi City's population increase is due to the continuous development of new towns and land readjustments in each district. However, in the current new town, almost all of the land used for housing has been sold, so there will not be much more land in the future. As for Oshidate, the number of children is thought to be increasing because the number of houses being sold is increasing due to farmland inheritance. The population is expected to increase in the future due to the Enokido land readjustment and Minamiyama land readjustment.
I wonder if we can work together with Inage, which is easily mistaken for the name of the city, to promote the city. Thanks to housing sales in Inagi Inter and New Town, Inagi has become more well-known in recent years. The city is currently continuing to promote the city using Nashinosuke Inagi, but this is the first time I have heard of a collaboration with Inage. We would like to consider various things in the future to increase Inagi's recognition, such as interactions between characters.
We are very grateful that the city's security lights have been replaced with LED lights, but there are still some areas in the Oshidate area that are lacking. I would like to see streetlights installed so I can explain the area on a map. I would also like the area to be paved if possible. We cannot respond to individual requests on the spot, so please inform the person in charge of take-out.
Oshidate is an old road and is narrow. The east-west road has been constructed, but it would be more convenient if at least two north-south roads were constructed, so please plan ahead.
Wouldn't it be possible to dig a tunnel on the road from Inagi Ohashi Bridge and go towards Machida?
As an issue, Inagi City has a road maintenance plan at the city road level, so we would like to continue working on it. First of all, we are prioritizing the development of urban planning roads, but we are continuing to develop narrow roads based on the requests of citizens. Land readjustment is planned for Oshidate, so we would like to start where we can.
Furthermore, we continue to submit requests to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government regarding wide-area roads.
An elderly man slipped in a sewer manhole. I would like to see new manholes installed with a non-slip design. There are various opinions about manhole design, so we would like to take the opinions we have just received into consideration for future improvements. Some manholes are designed with an emphasis on aesthetics and scenery, but as you said, we would like to change our thinking and prioritize safety and efficiency in the future.
The city retains a lot of history, including the remains of an old dock. Now that the tourism department has been established, I would like to see signposts put in place so people can find out about these things.
I would also like to see the Daimaru water intake be properly maintained in order to respect biodiversity, and make it accessible to everyone.
Up until now, there has been no tourism project from the perspective of town development, but based on these opinions, we would like to consider displaying information on scenic spots and historic sites within the city as a future issue.
The Daimaru water intake was renovated at a huge cost. The floodgates can now be opened and closed by remote control. The area along the Daimaru Canal has been renovated to make it more water-friendly, and we will continue to systematically make it more water-friendly in the future. Eventually, we aim to fully develop it.
Regarding biodiversity, I would like to establish bases in various locations, including Mt. Nanzan, and create a system that maintains biodiversity through citizen participation.
The bricks on the sidewalk are uneven, making it dangerous to push wheelchairs and silver cars, and making it difficult for the elderly. Additionally, there is a high level difference between the sidewalk and the road, which poses a serious threat to those pushing silver cars. I would like to see these things taken into consideration in future town development. Personally, I don't like interlocking, which is expensive and uneven, and I instruct people to avoid using interlocking as much as possible when building new roads.
Regarding the difference in level between the sidewalk and the road, there are issues such as the implementation status, but we must reflect on this. I want to do my best to resolve the issue somehow.
Regarding disaster prevention wells, what should be done with wells that use electricity to draw water in the event of a disaster? I would like to see what kind of wells are available during water quality surveys, and put in place a system so that they can be used in the event of a disaster. Regarding disaster prevention wells, each landowner is kind enough to open them in the event of a disaster. The city confirms the locations and conducts water quality tests once a year. I have confirmed whether it can be pumped electric or manually. Since each pumping method is different, it would be difficult to provide a comprehensive response in the event of a large-scale disaster, but this is something we would like to address in the future. Regarding water preparation, we have a system in place to supply drinking water without any problems (storage in plastic bottles and tanks at water treatment plants in Sakahama and Daimaru). Regarding water for daily use, the plan is to dig wells for daily use during disasters in all evacuation centers over a period of about three years. The pump is both electric and manual.
