"Inagi City's Lifelong Learning Administration" featured in a national magazine

Updated: November 16, 2017

“Lifelong Learning Administration in Inagi City, Tokyo” was published in “International Cultural Training” (Autumn 2017 issue), a training institute magazine under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

In the special feature article of the journal "International Cultural Training" (VOL97 Autumn Edition) published by the National Municipal International Cultural Training Institute (under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, etc.), the contents of the nationwide training seminar for city, ward, town and village officials and council members held in February 2017, "From 'connecting' to 'connecting' in lifelong learning administration in Inagi City, Tokyo," lecturer: Toshiyuki Shimomichi (Social Education Officer), were disseminated nationwide. Inagi City has embodied "steady promotion of lifelong learning, such as the establishment and development of Inagi IC College, without increasing the number of employees or the budget." The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications selected Inagi City as a model for the nation, for its efforts and ingenuity, based on the idea that "persistence is power."

☆ Inagi City's lifelong learning administration has attracted national attention, especially since the formulation of the "Inagi City Lifelong Learning Promotion Plan" published in 1996. Since 2013, after the formulation of the "Learning Promotion Plan," I have also been a lecturer at the "Social Education Director Training Seminar" (sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) every year.
